Description
Termicland® N1 incorporates two layers of pure aluminum with a layer of sealed air bubble plastic inside that effectively reduce heat/cold transfer, controlling the temperature of the space to be insulated.
By incorporating pure aluminum instead of metallic plastic film, effective insulation is achieved, not only aesthetically. Metallized film may appear to be insulating at first glance, but the nature of the material makes it unsuitable for such a function.
With Termicland® N1, high-quality thermal insulation is achieved that acts by reflection (95% reflectivity).
Minimal thickness. Maximum thermal resistance.
The installation of this thin insulation (5mm) is equivalent to installing a traditional thick insulation (EPS, PUR, MW, with thicknesses of 60mm). Both offer the same thermal resistance, but with Termicland® N1 the square meters of usable construction area are fully exploited.
Likewise, Termicland Nº1 can be installed together with any traditional thick insulation (porex, rock or glass wool, cork, polyurethane, cellulose…) to further increase thermal resistance. But even without this traditional insulation, installing several layers of Termicland Nº1 will also multiply the coefficient of thermal resistance with the minimum thickness.
Thermal resistance
The core’s thermal resistance of the Termicland® No. 1 is 0.3083 m²K/W.
If a 20mm air gap is added on both sides of the product, the thermal resistance increases to 1.6283 m²K/W. If the air gap is 40mm on both sides, the resistance rises to 2.8683 m²K/W.
Product layers
Termicland® N1 is composed of 3 layers: Pure Aluminum, Standard Bubble Plastic and Pure Aluminum.

Applications

Horizontal applications
1. Covers
2. Under roofs

Other applications:
- Thermal bridge break
- False ceilings
- Radon gas barrier
- Underfloor heating
- Air chamber
- Refrigeration units

Add-ons for installation
- Termicland® Strip: by applying this weather stripping to all kinds of ducts, an air chamber is created between them and Termicland® N1, which will significantly increase their thermal resistance.
- Aluminium Tape: the perfect bond for thermal and acoustic insulations.
- Metallized Film Tape: thermal bridges are avoided ensuring good insulation in the joints.
- Double sided adhesive tape: facilitates the union of reflective insulators and its fixing on all types of surfaces.
- Foamland Cutter®: custom designed to safely cut reflective insulation and packaging.
Delivery format
The delivery format is in a rolled coil protected with a 100% recyclable polyethylene bag.
Reasons to choose Termicland® N1
- Increase in useful construction surface as it is a low-thickness material
- Protects from outside heat in summer and keeps inside heat in winter
- Very easy installation
- Adaptable to any shape
- Waterproof and moisture resistant
- Fire retardant and highly resistant to chemical agents
- Made with a minimum of 40% recycled material
- At the same time, this material also helps to acoustically insulate a space. However, to achieve good acoustic insulation, we recommend our line of products designed specifically for this purpose.
