Description
Open-cell polyester-based polyurethane filter foam with uniform pore size. Its main use is concentrated in ducts that require filtration of abrasive products (fluids liquids or gases). This filter is a material capable of removing impurities, retaining both fine and coarse particles, thereby improving the efficiency of manufacturing processes.
It is also used to protect and extend the useful life of industrial equipment or machinery susceptible to wear if it is in contact with abrasive materials. It foresees that some waste may damage circulation or purification systems, both for engines and various machinery.
Filtration of abrasive products (or other types of particles) is measured in PPI (Pores Per Inch – 1 inch equals 2.54cm). Between 10 and 20 PPI, the pores are larger and the filtering efficiency is reduced depending on the type and size of particles. On the other hand, with between 20 and 30 PPI, having smaller pores, it is possible to filter much smaller particles. Our team of experts will be able to advise you on what type of density is best suited for your project.
Delivery format:
- sheet (whole or cut into pieces to size)
- custom die-cut piece
At Foamland, we also offer other types of filtration solutions.
